A collection of enchanting works by artists Paola Bari and Emily Nomer. The artists transport us with delightful visions rendered in porcelain and paint, to a place where beauty is enough – where beauty is perhaps the best remedy.


About Emily Nomer:

Emily Nomer is enchanted by pattern. She worked for many years in the design world and remains inspired by beautiful textiles and decorative arts of all kinds. She holds a BA from Vassar College in Classical Greek, and an MA from the University of London in the same. She earned an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the State University of New York at New Paltz in
2018. She shows her work throughout the area in group and solo shows.

About Paola Bari:

Paola Bari learned to love ceramics as a young girl in Italy and traveled all over the world to learn different techniques. She worked for IBM in Milano until 1996, when she was invited to cross the Atlantic. After ending her career at IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY, Paola devoted herself full time to porcelain painting. Her porcelain works have appeared in exhibitions at prestigious galleries, including the Denise Bibro Fine Art Gallery, Byrdcliffe Barn Pottery, and James Cox Gallery, all in New York.

Paola is a member and a certified artist with the International  Porcelain Artists and Teachers organization. She is also active in conservation. Paola is currently a trustee of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, located in Namibia, Africa. Her contribution has been mainly on education and fundraising.
